Privacy Policy

Earncade is operated by MoveNets LLC. This policy explains how the Earncade app handles information when families use its reading and playtime features. Contact us at earncade@gmail.com with privacy questions.

1. A parent-managed app

Earncade helps families connect reading tasks with playtime. Parents manage accounts and settings. Children do not create accounts or provide contact information.

2. Information stored on your device

Earncade stores information on your device to support reading tasks and playtime, including:

• Reading tasks, source photos, extracted text, and questions.
• Answers, reading progress, and earned and available playtime minutes.
• Selected apps, the child’s display name, Parent PIN, and Screen Time configuration.

3. Parent accounts

We use Supabase to authenticate parent accounts. Supabase processes the parent’s email address and user ID for authentication.

4. Optional cloud-generated questions

Cloud question generation is optional. It requires a parent to sign in and give explicit consent. When enabled, the reviewed book title and page text are sent through Supabase to OpenAI to generate questions.

Source photos, the child’s name, answers, and earned minutes are not sent as part of this cloud question-generation flow. On-device question generation is also available. Parents can manage cloud question-generation choices in the app.

5. Analytics and advertising

Earncade does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not send product interactions, device or network information, reading activity, answers, or playtime activity to an analytics provider.

6. Apple Screen Time

Earncade uses Apple Family Controls and Screen Time for local operation of the apps selected by the parent. The selected-app configuration supports the app’s playtime features on the device.

7. Service providers and sharing

Earncade uses Apple for platform and Screen Time features, Supabase for parent authentication and the optional cloud question flow, and OpenAI for cloud questions when enabled.

We do not sell personal information, display third-party advertisements, or track users across other companies’ apps or websites.

8. Keeping and deleting information

Local app information remains on the device until it is removed or the app is deleted. The account deletion option in Parent Settings clears the cloud account and local app data.

9. Parent choices

Parents manage the account, reading tasks, and playtime settings. Parents can choose on-device question generation, control the optional cloud question feature, and delete their account through Parent Settings.

10. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. No system or method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Earncade changes. Updates will appear on this page with a revised effective date.
