Read first. Play later.

Less reminding.
More reading.

Turn pages from the books you already have into short reading tasks. Kids earn playtime they can use on their own.

A little structure for you. A little independence for them.

Sound familiar?

“Did you finish
your reading?”

“Just five
more minutes.”

“Is it time
to stop yet?”

You don’t have to
carry every reminder.

You set the rules once. Your child sees the next step. Earncade keeps track of earned minutes and the agreed limit—so you can step out of the daily negotiation.

The story behind Earncade

It started with
one familiar conversation.

Reading. Screen time. One more reminder.
A small idea for a calmer everyday routine.

A parent’s idea. A family’s next chapter.Earncade · Our story

One clear path, from pages to play

You create the structure.
They take the next step.

01 / SCAN

Start with their book.

Scan or import up to five pages. Review the questions, choose a 1–30 minute reward, and publish.

A little prep for you
02 / READ

A few pages.
A little thinking.

Three basic questions check understanding. An optional Challenge invites a deeper thought, without holding up the reward.

A clear task for them
03 / EARN

“I did it.”
And it adds up.

Completing the required questions adds minutes to Available Time. They stay saved until your child is ready.

Progress they can see
04 / PLAY

Their minutes.
Their moment.

They choose when to use their minutes. When the allowance is used, the selected apps are limited again automatically.

A calmer finish for everyone

Built around real books

Keep the bookshelf.
Change the routine.

Their favorite story. A library discovery. Today’s school reading. You choose the pages; Earncade gives them a small, achievable next step.

No open content feed to wander into. Just the reading you picked, with progress saved for later.

A NOTE FOR PARENTS

You choose
the reading.
They bring
the curiosity.

Two views. One routine.

A little guidance.
A lot of “I can.”

Space for you to set the plan.
Space for them to follow it.

You set the scene

One place to
make the plan.

Create reading tasks, return to saved drafts, and choose the entertainment apps. A device-local Parent PIN keeps these decisions with you.

The limit is already agreed

Be their parent.
Not the clock.

Earncade counts actual use of the apps you selected. When those minutes are used, the limits return automatically. You don’t have to be the person who ends every session.

Screen Control needs Apple Family Controls permission, at least one selected app, and Enable Blocking turned on. Time on the iPad home screen doesn’t use the allowance.

A small, protected world

No ads.

Before your next chapter

Good
questions.

Who is Earncade for?

Families with a child who can read short English passages independently. The current beta is iPad-first and supports one child.

What if an answer is wrong?

Earncade encourages another careful look at the book without displaying the source passage. Progress is saved so your child can continue later. The optional Challenge is not required to earn the task reward.

Do the minutes start as soon as reading is done?

No. Completing the required questions adds minutes to Available Time. Your child chooses when to redeem them, and how much to use.

Does our reading sync to another device?

No. Tasks, answers, saved minutes, scans, and the Parent PIN stay on the device. A new iPad needs a new PIN and Screen Control setup.

How are questions created?

Parents review the generated questions before publishing. On-device generation may take longer. Cloud generation requires parent sign-in and explicit consent to share the source material. Questions can need correction; they are not guaranteed to be perfect.

Can we download it today?

Earncade is not yet listed on the App Store. A public beta invitation link has not been announced here. This page will link to the official invitation when it is available.
